When you get blocked on Instagram, the direct messages (DMs) you've sent to that person will remain in their inbox, but they won't be able to access your profile to see who the message is from. However, you won't be able to send any new messages to that person. If the person unblocks you, the previous DMs will reappear, but any messages sent while blocked will not be delivered.
