Whether a backpack is too big for Ryanair depends on its size and how much you pack. Ryanair's standard carry-on dimensions are 40cm x 20cm x 25cm for a small bag. If your backpack fits within these dimensions even when fully packed, it should be acceptable as a carry-on item. For larger items up to 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, you would need to purchase Priority & 2 Cabin Bags. Checking the specific size and weight restrictions on Ryanair's official website before your trip is advisable to avoid any issues at the airport.
