Fortnite currently supports playing in squads of up to four people. If you're looking to play with six friends, you'd need to split into two teams or enjoy other multiplayer aspects of the game that accommodate more players, such as Creative mode or participating in large team-based modes when they are available. Unfortunately, the traditional battle royale and squad modes do not support six players in a single team.
